Our Process
When an item or items arrive at our workshop we can fully asses the condition of the parts for an accurate quotation. Once this is confirmed the item is pre cleaned to ensure there are no residual contaminants and then the blasting process can begin.
We use a blend of fine glass media mixed with a corrosion inhibitor to prevent flash rust and oxidation, particularly for steel fittings within aluminium casings.
When the blasting process is complete the items are thoroughly rinsed with the clean water system built into our machine, once rinsed it its then blown through with compressed air whilst still inside the machine to remove any residual media and blast water.
The item is then placed in a clean dip tank filled with anti corrosion formula and water, it is dipped multiple times allowing the solution to flush out any small amounts of residual media remaining and then blown through again with compressed air and allowed to dry naturally.
Once the item is completely dry a final blast of compressed finishes the process, where needed the dipping process is repeated multiple times particularly for engine components.
Although we go to great lengths to ensure the item is clean and devoid of media, when it is returned to you we recommend a final cleaning before assembly.
